THIS WEEK!!!
Homecoming Update
The Franklin Central Student Council is hard at work creating exciting in-person and virtual alternatives to our typical parade and events; we have already received some spectacular hype videos from all around the district! This week has been designated as Homecoming Week and many of our school day activities and traditions will still occur, including theme days and Homecoming Court voting. The festivities will culminate with the traditional crowning of a Homecoming king and queen and recognition of their court at the football game against the Avon Orioles on Friday night.
Go Flashes!!!

New Options for Calling in Absences: (317) 803-5535
Compulsory attendance laws still apply!!! If your child is out for any reason, it is imperative that you contact the attendance line and report the reason for the absence.
When calling the attendance line to report and absence or requesting an early dismissal, please be sure to listen to all of the options available. There is now a third attendance voicemail.
The three lines are-
Covid symptom line: To be used if experiencing symptoms or exposed only.
Absence line: To be used for non-Covid related symptoms or other reason for absence (funeral, appointments, etc.)
Early dismissal line: To be called two hours in advance in order for the student to leave early.
*Please note that the best way to report early dismissal is to send in a note with your student to be taken to the Attendance Office in the morning before classes begin, to receive their pass for early dismissal.*
Thank you for your help in streamlining our attendance reporting!
How do I enter my attendance when I am learning from home?
A new feature has been added to our Infinite Campus system! ALL students (both hybrid and online) MUST now check themselves in for their virtual learning from home via their Infinite Campus student page. Students will be required to do this every day that they are NOT on campus; when you are in a physical classroom, the teacher will still take attendance. Attendance should be entered no later than 9am each day.
Entering Student Attendance for Virtual Learning Days
Thank you all for your patience as we make the adjustments that will result in a more efficient morning for everyone!
Don't Forget to enter your attendance!!!

Home Athletic Events: Expectations and Procedures
Although our next home football game isn't until Homecoming Friday, we need your help to make ALL of our FC sporting events run as smoothly as possible to help guarantee we continue to have home events!
All bleachers will be marked off with red tape--- DO NOT SIT ON OR STAND IN FRONT OF THE SEATS WITH RED TAPE. This goes for both indoor and outdoor events with bleacher seating. Families will have enough space to accommodate multiple members in a set of seat. IN THE STUDENT SECTION: There should only be one person per unmarked space. Just because you might be able to squeeze two people in between the red tape doesn't mean you should. PLEASE HELP YOUR TEAM by following the expectations set forth.
Franklin Central event tickets will be sold only online through FCFlashes.com and will only be presale. Tickets are $6 for varsity events, $5 for freshman events. Marion County Health Department has limited the seating capacity at outdoor venues to 1000 and indoor venues to 250.
Fans can watch broadcasts for $10 on the IHSAA website (IHSAATV.org) or on the IHSAA TV apps on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, or Android TV. The link below takes you directly to the FCHS streaming page on IHSAATV.org:

Franklin Central Athletics will be operating under strict COVID guidelines as established by the IHSAA and Marion County. All spectators will need to wear masks at the games. Everyone will be asked to social distance and sit together as families.
We will have concessions available under the state guidelines of offering only pre-packaged products at our home events.
We do have t-shirts and face masks that will be sold out of the athletic office if you are interested.
