I hope that each of you had a wonderful and restful break and that you are fully energized. With about 2 more months of school remaining, let's continue to make sure that we are maximizing the learning opportunities for all of our students. Upon our return we will kick off our state testing, please stress to the students the importance of coming to school everyday and let's motivate each of them to do their best...

TESTING!!! TESTING!!!!!TESTING!!!!!

As most of you are aware, we will start AIR Testing this week in Grades 3-5. The testing schedule will begin at 9:30AM - 11:00AM. This also mean, that we will have to change our special subject area schedule for testing days only.


Teachers is grades 3-5 please make sure that you familiarize yourself with the Testing Manuals. If you have any questions about testing procedures please let me know immediately.


Incentives for testing will be as follows (Subject to Change)

  • Week One- Grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th- Extra Recess from 3:00-3:35
  • Week Two- Grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th- Popcorn and a Movie from 2:00-3:30


Incentives will be based on the following...

  • 100% attendance on testing days
  • Students working hard during the test (to be determined by teacher.)


I am asking that we all work together to make sure this is a success for the students. I will need one teacher per grade level to stay with the kids that will not participate and two teachers to monitor the students during the activities. If you have a team of four you can split two and two.

PBS Meetings......

Well,...... as we embark upon the last quarter of the school year, on Monday I will meet with students to make sure they fully understand what we expect from them until the end of the year. With that being said I will meet with the following groups at the following times:



5th Grade - 9:15 - 9:45

4th Grade - 3:10 - 3:40

2nd Grade - 10:25 - 10:55

Kdg. - 2:00 - 2:30

3rd Grade - 2:35 - 3:05

1st Grade -9:50 - 10:20

FEE ORDERS

Staff, Just a reminder that ALL Fee orders need to be submitted to Mrs. Kelly by 9:00am Monday morning. The approved list of materials was sent earlier. If there is something you think that you would like to add to this list please let me know.

TenMarks.....

Teachers, attached is a report that shows teachers/students usage of the Ten Marks intervention program that was purchased by the district. After reading the report, I'm interested in your thoughts regarding this program. This should be used during your intervention block time along with istation, and Achieve 3000. With the new computers we have, let's make sure that we are using these tools appropriately.

Transfer Students

Teachers, when we have students transfer from our school to another, within our district, we have to make sure, that we have all the information ready to be sent. Please make sure that you working with Mrs. Kelly to have the necessary information ready when asked.
