Principal Post
Lisa Westman will be at Westfield this evening, October 11th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for a Parent University presentation on standards based grading and reporting. ALL District #13 parents are invited to attend this presentation. Click on https://youtu.be/qVjqBXk1OfA to view a live stream of this presentation If you are unable to attend in person.
In District #13 and at DuJardin School we are committed to the development of the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally. A child's social and emotional functioning has a great impact on their academic performance. This fall and spring the three District #13 schools will complete a universal social-emotional screening in grades 1 through 8. This screening tool will help us to identify children who may need additional support in the area of social emotional development. The fall screener will be completed by classroom teachers the last two week of October. If the screening indicates that a child would benefit from additional social/emotional supports, parents will be notified prior to any interventions being implemented. If you have any questions and/or concerns related to this screening process, please contact Mr. Dwyer or Mrs. Treanor, our school social worker, for additional information.
