February is First Grade's Turn to Support the GRACE Food Drive
Items needed: Canned Fruit
The grocery aisles have lots to choose from: canned peaches, diced pears, mandarin oranges, chopped pineapple, etc.
Collection baskets are right outside the First Grade classrooms for the month.
Thank you for helping families in need in our community.
Valentine's Day Preparations
Please have your child bring in a decorated box for their Valentine mailbox:
- The box needs to be about the size of a shoebox.
- It should have a way for Valentine cards be put into it.
- It needs to be easily opened by your child to get the Valentines out during the party.
- It may be brought to school the week of Valentine's Day, starting Monday, February 11. Please do not send them before that week.
Thank you!!
Valentine's Cards
Parents, exchanging Valentine cards is optional. However, if your child chooses to give valentines, please make sure that each child in our classroom receives one. This will help to avoid hurt feelings on a very special day. If your child wants to give an extra special card or gift to a close friend, this should be done outside of the school setting.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
