Crossroads Academy & DAEP
Principal Newsletter: 29 April 2020
Breaking Through our Year 1 Goals, & Pushing for More!
Every Monday morning, I reach out to the Crossroads Academy H.S. and DAEP team with an excited happy Monday morning salute. This Monday was extra special though, as we participated in the recognition of our 40th graduate: Jose Diaz, who was one of six additional graduates to have completed at Crossroads since our last newsletter. Those other new graduates are Javier Gonzalez, Jr., Ricardo Perez, Jr., Christian Rodriguez, Angelina Flores, and Valerie Varela. When we opened our doors as a school in August, we set a goal of supporting 40 graduates this school year. We are so excited to share that through all of the many challenges that have been faced, including COVID19, we are now at 42 graduates. We also know that there are many students working hard to be the next Crossroads Academy graduate, even as I type this message. Our teachers and our entire team are here for you: our students and families. We want the chance to answer your questions, and to help you realize your academic goals. We could not be more thankful for the opportunity we have to represent Uvalde CISD in establishing a strong first year as a school built around love, high expectations, and restorative education. And I am so thankful for the great teachers, staff, students, and families that represent Crossroads Academy High School, and DAEP.
