We are so proud of the partnership created between our Clearview students and a school in Rusinga Island, Kenya! Students from our Social Justice Class, SURE Club, as well as some Art and NHS students created 200 personalized cards for the Kenyan students. Our students have truly enjoyed learning about this community on the other side of the world! The Kenyan children are so thrilled to have new friends in the USA as you can tell by these photos.

Clearview Regional High School District Named National Best Community for Music Education
The Clearview Regional High School District was named to the 2021 National Association for Music Merchants (NAMM) Best Communities for Music Education (BCME). This marks the fourth consecutive year that the Clearview Regional High School District has received this prestigious honor. Now in its third decade, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. Inclusion on the BCMS list acknowledges the Clearview Regional School District as one of the top four percent (4%) of school districts for music education in the United States.
School districts listed in the BCME list go through a vetting process organized by NAMM and leading experts in the music education field. The application looks at the curricular music offerings in the district, recent student and ensemble honors, number of students engaged in school music classes across all grade levels, extracurricular musical offerings, teacher qualifications, community engagement, district and administrative support, as well as other music events and opportunities provided to students and teachers in the district. The Clearview Regional School District scored highly in all categories based on a strong tradition of excellence in both curricular and extracurricular ensembles, opportunities for all students to be involved in both middle school and high school elective music classes, and strong support from the community as well as school and district administrations.
The Clearview Regional School District Music Department would like to thank Mr. John Horchak III and his team of administrators, as well as the administration and staff at both the high school and middle school for their continued support of the music program in the school district. For Outstanding Support of Music Education and Enriching the Lives of Children and Advancing Student Achievement Information about the award designation, as well as the full list of schools can be found at the following link: https://www.nammfoundation.org/articles/bcme-2021-districts.
