The cost of the trip is $12.00. Please be sure to send in the exact amount if you are sending in cash because often times we are unable to make change. The permission slip is due back to me by 3-26-14 and the money is due 4-1-14.

Science and Writing Combo
Wow, what a great time to study weather. This has been one of the craziest winters I have experienced. I can't remember a time when I saw rain, sleet, freezing rain, and snow all together and then even experienced an earthquake. This week we are discussing three different types of severe weather: thunderstorms, hurricanes, and tornadoes. We have also tied this topic into our informational writing. We are researching and writing about different weather terms. The students have shown great interest in their topics and have work hard to create their rough drafts. Our hopes are to be able to type and publish these pieces and add a few nonfiction text features that we have studies and looked at in Writer's Workshop.
