Social Innovation Defined
A social innovation is a novel solution to a social problem that is more effective, efficient, sustainable, or just than current solutions. What is a Social Innovation Hack-A-Thon?
presentations and an experiential learning competition all focused on building knowledge and skills in the field of SI. Students who attend will learn from leaders in their fields then be put into teams to brainstorm proposals that provide solutions to a current challenge our world faces. Their are prizes for the winning proposal. Everyone walks away with increased knowledge, skills, and connections with others who want to make a difference.
