Ambassador Elections 2021
The Year 6 children who put themselves forward as candidates videoed their speeches on Wednesday and then we shared them during worship on Thursday. Annie and Beau did a great job as our election special presenters.
As always, we were very impressed with the super ideas presented by our candidates. Children were provided with ballot papers and after all the votes from every class were counted, the returning officer announced to Year 6 that Isaac had been elected as the boy ambassador with Alexa elected as the girl ambassador.
Well done to everyone who was involved.
Creating natural bodies in Year 1
In Year 1, as part of our science work, we have been learning all about the human body. The children really enjoyed going outside to find lots of different materials that they could use to create their own human body and they all worked really hard on identifying each part using labels.
Perseverance
Staff Perseverance
In case you did not see our post on social media on Monday, we are pleased to announce that Miss Swires and Mrs Rich ran a good race packed with perseverance on Sunday at The Great North Run! They were really thrilled with all the encouraging comments from our school community. Thank you to everyone who responded and also huge gratitude for any sponsorship money received for the great local charity Ripon Community Link (fundraising link below in case you would like to add to the total, many thanks).

Stars of the Week
At our Celebration Worship every Friday, we really enjoy 'zooming' around the classes to hear about the fabulous work and effort of our stars of the week.
Nursery
Brody for trying really hard in all the areas of learning.
Reception
Elliot for the kindness he shows everyone in Reception and for joining in with everything we do with a brilliant beaming smile!
Year 1
Lucas for settling into Year 1 superbly. Lucas has put 100% into each piece of work he has completed and demonstrated a very mature attitude to his learning.
Year 2
Paige for showing great perseverance, resilience and determination with your writing!± You have thought so carefully about phonics and formation.
Year 3
Harry for settling in well to a new school and persevering with his times tables well done.
Year 4
Ariana for challenging herself, taking risks and believing in herself. Fantastic growth mindset Ariana!
Year 5
Erin for being enthusiastic about her work. Erin listens well to instructions in class and works hard to complete work given.
Year 6
Beth for her excellent commitment to her reading star challenges. Well done Beth!
Well done to all our stars!

Oscar's Club
Our holiday club was very successful, with well over 20 children in both weeks and mostly sunny weather for them to enjoy. Whilst we don't have our holiday dates for this year finalised, we can confirm that the club will not take place in the half term break but we are optimistic about holding a Christmas club.
We are finding that the breakfast and after school clubs are busier than ever now that parents are returning to work away from the home. However, we still have room so do make sure you are set up on the booking site so that you can arrange any childcare needs.
Please contact Mrs Rich in the office if you have any questions or experience issues logging on.
