Week 10 - 11/2/2018: Monthly PBIS focus is HONESTY
We made it through Halloween, WHEW! It really was a fun week with the "Nothing is Impossible" rap assembly and all the amazing costumes on Wednesday! Thank you to all the parents who came that day. We always enjoy having you!
This is a short week as you know, with conferences on Wednesday and Thursday. If you haven't yet scheduled a time, please call the office. Also, please remember that the teachers have this limited amount of time to conference with families and don't have time during their regular teaching schedules to make different times.
You may know that there is a free family morning on Nov.10 at the Washington County Museum! From 10AM - 1PM a two-person artist team will be working with people to make their own sculptures in air-dry clay. It should be a lot of fun! If you would like more information, contact mailto:nandreini@washingtoncountymuseum.org
Do you want your child to have a chance to play basketball and have FUN!! Little Dribblers is a great opportunity to do just that and it's AFFORDABLE!! I'm waiting on the flyer, but it starts in January and is on Saturday mornings. The cost is only about 35.00 and if you need help with that, I'm there! The location is Evergreen Middle School. This is an awesome opportunity and I want your child to participate!! I'll send out the sign up form as soon as I get it.
Our new PTO president Warittha Powell, met with HEA president Jill Golay last week and they are looking for your input! There is a brief survey for parent to evaluate your school that would be helpful information for them. The 5 areas they are looking at are:
1. Community: Is your school open to the community it serves?
2. Healthy Students in Modern Schools: Is your school a healthy learning environment that is clean and in good working order?
3. Well-Rounded Curriculum: Do students have access to the courses that are right for them and prepare them for life after graduation?
4. School Climate: Do your students feel safe and respected in their classrooms and in their school?
5. Quality Educators: Are all of the educators at your school prepared and excited to help students excel?
If you are interested in giving your input, go to http://myschoolmyvoice.nea.org
Remember, there is no school Nov. 8, 9, or 12.
have a great weekend!!
