Veteran's Day Flag Raising
We will be having 2-3 Veteran's in uniform help with raising the flag, saying the pledge and giving a few facts about the flag. Some of our Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts will also wear their uniforms. Mrs. Manchester will lead us in a patriotic song, so please sing along.
We would like ALL STAFF AND STUDENTS TO WEAR RED, WHITE AND BLUE THAT DAY.
Two of the veteran's have agreed to stay and speak with classes about what they are doing or did in the Armed Services. Please let Beth know if you would like to have one of these gentlemen visit your classroom. They will be available for a limited number of classroom visits.
A good Youtube video is: Bet You Didn't Know: Veteran's Day
Ms. Burgess has been having our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students make Patriotic pictures that will be hung up near the office to show our appreciation. Please help make our visiting veterans feel welcome.
