Thought For The Week
Spirit Week / Food Drive
Our Student Council food drive will run February 5th - 14th. Please bring an item to benefit our De Soto and LT pantries (non-perishable items only please)! Check our Spirit Week Dress-up Days to go with the Food Drive!
Dental Screening Opportunity
USD 232 will be offering a FREE dental screening on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 to all students enrolled at Lexington Trails Middle School in compliance with Kansas State Statute 72-5201. If you choose to have your student screened at LTMS, please complete the form below OR email Nurse Legatt at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, February 23, 2024.
If you do not want your child to participate, you do NOT need to complete or return this form.
Oral health is a crucial part of your child’s overall health, and a critical component in your student’s ability to learn and succeed in school. This screening should not replace routine dental care with a dental provider. If you require assistance with finding care for your student, please reach out to me for additional information.
If your child does participate, a copy of the screening results will be sent home with your student by the dental team. Thank you for your cooperation!

Parent Teacher Conferences
Wednesday, February 14th
Open conferences in the gym from 3:30 - 7:30 (dinner break 5:00 - 5:30). Students and parents can come and go as they please.
Thursday, February 15th
Scheduled conferences. Parents can sign up for a conference using the links below.
Although we would love to meet in person, that isn't always feasible for families. To build student-parent-school communication, students can share their Student Portfolio, Grades, Missing Assignments, and other important grade-specific information with parents, and then parents can email the teacher. Each grade level team will be sharing more information about this option.
We had a group of students choose to participate in a nationwide reading competition! These students all set a goal to read more, and they are part of the READBowl Middle School conference. The goal was to be in the top 50 but they are blowing that away and are currently 16th place in the nation!
