Pointillism
19 Years
Background History of the Movement.
It started in France in 1886 to 1905. Pointillism is made to confuse your brain which makes it very cool because all the artist use is dots and small lens in the painting but to your it looks like just a painting. Its practitioners believed that separate, distinct application of pigment would produce better color vibrancy than simply blending it in together.
Major Players (artist) in this movement and their contributions towards it.
Georges Seurat was part of the movement he actually came up with the Pointillism idea. He believed that it would be better if you used dots and lines besides always mixing the colors together
