The Great Outdoors- All Team Huddle - Get Quiet
Jesus Spends Time with God
Luke 5:15-16, Mark 1:35, Matthew 26:36
This Sunday kids are learning that "God Can Do Anything" as we learn about the story of Mary's Good News from Luke 1:26-56.
As I think about the fact that God can do anything, it's who He is and all that I've already seen Him do that stirs up my faith. In the scripture we're teaching on Sunday the angel Gabriel reminds Mary of this, "Not one promise from God is empty of power, for nothing is impossible with God!"
Sometimes we are in the process of waiting on promises to be fulfilled. Think about the 400 years of silence between the Old Testament and the New Testament or how many generations had to wait on the Messiah to come. Don't get weary in your waiting. Let's be people that believe who He is, that his promises are true, and that He can do ANYTHING!
Think about what it takes to stir up your faith, and let's do some of that. Maybe it's asking the Lord to remind you of all the things that you've seen Him do before. Maybe it's remembering your salvation and how he saved you. Maybe it's exchanging stories of how you've seen His promises come true for you with others. Maybe there are certain passages in the Bible that just inspire more faith, and you need to read those.
He did not waver in unbelief at God’s promise but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, because he was fully convinced that what God had promised, he was also able to do.
- Romans 4:20-21
