  • Return from Dallas Trip, 3:45 pm
  • Percussion Sendoff, 4:15 pm
  • Battery PE, 4:30-5:30 pm


Tuesday, April 25th

  • Band hall open to practice for marching portion of SLT try-out, 8 am
  • Color Guard Student Leadership Team teaching round during class
  • Auditions for band placement begin during class for wind players
  • Drumline performance at Fine Arts Decision Day - 2nd period
  • Student Leadership Team Try Outs, 4:45-5:45 pm
  • 5th Period Percussion Ensemble, 4:45-6:30 pm


Wednesday, April 27th

  • 6th Period Percussion Ensemble, 4-5:30 pm
  • Early Release
  • Jazz Band will start next week due to early release this week


Thursday, April 28th

  • Drum Major Try Outs, 4:45-5:15 (All Winds and Percussion, Color Guard welcome to attend)
  • Drumline Auditions, 5-8:30 pm


Saturday, April 30th

  • Percussion Rehearsal, 9 am-noon

Auditions for 2022-2023 Band Placement

We will be having auditions for all wind players for band placement for the 2022-2023 school year starting April 26th during class. Audition music can be found here.

Band Calendar for 2022-2023 School Year

Click here for the band calendar for the 2022-2023 school year. We will release dates and times for rehearsals in August ASAP. We are waiting on the final professional development schedule for teachers in August.


Please make sure to leave these dates open for marching contest next Fall.

  • October 15 - UIL Region Marching Competition
  • October 29 - UIL Area Marching Competition
  • November 5 - USBands San Antonio Finale
  • November 9 - UIL State Marching Contest

UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest

The UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest is Saturday, May 28th. The school district has approved us to stay in hotels on Friday, May 27th in Austin, TX. We will leave in the afternoon on Friday, May 27th. Students will receive per diem. We will return the afternoon of Saturday, May 28th. More details to follow.

Band Obligations

Obligations for unpaid fees have been turned in to the front office. Students will not be able to exempt final exams if they have any unpaid fees.

Graduation

All band students - Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band - will be performing at Graduation. We will be performing 15-20 minutes of music before graduation begins. We will be wearing tuxes and dresses. Students will be responsible for getting their tux and dress dry cleaned after the graduation performance.
