Practice! Practice!
We will not have nightly homework or a reading log this year. Please practice letters & sounds, sight words, DIBELS, numbers, and/or read a book every night with your child.
Please be reading with and to your children as often as you can, it is still VERY important to be reading at least 10-15 minutes a night. Even if your child may not know how to read yet, he/she can point out and tell you letters/sounds and sight words they see in a book. He/she could also make up a story based on what they see in the pictures.
