Region 15 CTE Weekly Update

May 4 - May 8, 2020

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us. - J. R. R. Tolkien

You would think that the weeks would get easier with this new routine but they really aren't. But anyway...

Hey, hey it's May! On May 7, 2001, I started at Region 15. I was 17. (check out the pic below) Haha. I had just moved from Dallas where I was a software trainer. Previous to that I was a small town high school business teacher. I told myself I'd give it a year...19 years later it's been a great experience. As cliche as it sounds, the best thing about Region 15 are the people; the staff at the center, districts, students...all of you. I have great memories and friendships. Thank you for making Region 15 the best place to work!

Here we are blessed to be at another Friday. I spent yesterday delivering Perkins orders to a couple of schools. It was really nice to be back doing "normal" ESC things. I have spend just about everyday these past what now, 7 weeks, pounding away at this laptop in my new corner "office" at home. Today I am headed back up to the ESC to unbox all the Proclamation 2021 PrK materials. I stopped counting after 20 boxes. Don't we all love those other duties as assigned assignments? Sigh...ah well it's all good. I am thankful for 19 years at the ESC. I hope you have had a productive and good week. The last day of school is quickly approaching. Keep pressing onward, friends!

Be well,
