Positive Stress

Positive stress is any stressor that influences you to do something positive.

  • planning for an important event

Negative Stress

Negative stress is an aversive state when a person is unable to adapt to stressors.

  • anxiety
  • weight issues



Handling Stress

Ways to handle stress

  1. get at least 9 hours of sleep
  2. have fun
  3. hang out with good friends
  4. relax
  5. exercise
  6. eat health (have a healthy diet)
  7. listen to music

  9. laughing
  10. limit electronic use


Limiting the effects of stress

To limit the effects of stress you can use refusal skills, plan ahead, and think positively. These can all help limit the effects of stress in your life.

Personal Story

When we have finals in january, i was really nervous that i wouldn't pass them. i stayed up so late at night to get as much information into my head as i should. The stress of this test helped me study and i passed with a high grade.
