The ceremony should end by 4:00. We will need to vacate the premises to accommodate another performance
Security at Constitution Hall has the authority to remove individuals who are not in compliance with established ceremonial guidelines
Everyone attending graduation must have a ticket
Smoking is not permitted
Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal:

Rehearsal should be over by 10:30. Please arrange for transportation after rehearsal.
Academic Attire for Graduation Ceremony:
Wrinkle-free blue academic robe
Blue mortarboard with tassel on the right
White Class of 2018 Stole
Long dress pants
Shirt with collar and tie
Dress or blouse with skirt or long dress pants
Dress shoes
The mortarboard should be worn so that it is parallel to the floor, flat on your head.
Graduates’ dress should not detract from the cap and gown, ceremony, or celebration.
Chewing gum, sunglasses, purses, signs, decorations, etc. are not permitted.
Please note - no purses, cosmetics, hair brushes, etc. can be taken into the graduation ceremony. Wear clothing with a pocket, if necessary. There is no security for items left
Ceremony:
Students will line up on C Street and D Street sides of Constitution Hall - students will receive this information at rehearsal
Once students arrive at Constitution Hall, teachers will be there to assist with line up
Doors will open to guests at 1:00
Doors will be closed to the public at 2:00 PM and the lobby cleared to permit graduates to move into entry way for the processional
Prior to the start of the processional, Mr. Sinclair will take the stage to review expectations regarding behavior with the audience to ensure an orderly and solemn graduation ceremony
After the national anthem, graduates and guests are seated. At this time, doors will be reopened to allow for late arrival of guests
Our guest speaker will be Chad Sanders, writer and Blake Alumnus
Diploma covers will be handed to graduates on stage. Your diploma will be picked up following the ceremony in hallway. You will be directed to the correct area.
