Hotlines
There FOR YOU when you need it.
Let's be honest, addictions can be pretty odd sometimes. They come in and the craving starts at random times, and you can never be sure when it'll next strike at you. You could be ready and defensive, or very submissive to the urge that calls you to use alcohol.
That's where a hot/help-line comes in...

Quick and Efficient Help
Hotlines (/helplines) can meet different expectations. They're not as sudden (although typically they are as responsive) like the police might be, but not only can they help you over a phone, they can refer you to clinics around you that can help you recover from your addiction. They can also refer you to community organizations and support groups.
Helplines aren't only for those who have an addiction, however. If you know of someone with an addiction and would like to help, you can call that number as well, typically any day at any time.
These two phone numbers are great hotlines to contact if you, a friend, or family are ever in trouble. They're ready to be called 24 hours, 7 days a week and help you find an area or something that can assist you with your addiction.
Remember, these people are here to help you -- so don't hesitate! Being addicted isn't something to be ashamed of, and it's okay to get help.
