Grobe and Morris Newsletter
Week of April 27th
Grobe's Corner
We had a very successful week! Not only did we complete our last round of STAAR tests, but we began practicing great research skills and what good researchers do! We will be beginning a fun research project in the coming week, so be on the lookout for additional information concerning this! We will also begin a reading unit where the students will be exploring classic books and completing mini projects on those books in class. We are going to end the year with very engaging and entertaining activities that the kids will surely remember when they look back on their 4th grade career!

I am beyond proud of every kiddo that I have taught Math to this year! They all did a fabulous job on STAAR. They did great staying focused and dedicated to the test. Unfortunately, we don't have results back, and we are unaware of when results will be sent to us. As soon as we have this information, we will be sure to let all students and parents know.
In Math this week, we took a little break from learning new concepts, and focused on fun math activities. The kids had a great time working on Math facts and were extremely engaged in the activities. I was happy to see that they had fun while learning and got a little brain break. Next week, we will dive back into new curriculum. Before STAAR we briefly discussed our Financial Literacy Unit. We will continue this Unit as we get ready for our next district assessment (May 15th).
In Science, we finished talking about Barometers and how they are used to measure air pressure. Next week, we will discuss wind, temperature and the water cycle. We have a lot of fun experiments coming up.
Make sure that you continue practicing your math facts!!
Have a great weekend!
