Tison Roo News 2019-20
Week of March 9th
Welcome to the Tison Newsletter!
Meant as a means for communicating with staff and parents about upcoming events and information pertinent to Tison, the Tison newsletter is delivered on a mostly weekly basis through email (parent/guardian email accessed through Skyward) and posted to Skyward Family Access. Other good sources for school information include the Tison Facebook page (search Tison Middle School) as well as the school website (https://tison-ms.weatherfordisd.com/).
Please remember to check Skyward often to stay in the know about your child’s studies, assignments, and assessments. This school e-newsletter will help you stay informed on school activities, as well as other events and happenings. It is usually emailed through Skyward's Message Center and posted on Skyward Family Access.

UIL Concert & Sight Reading Results for TMS Band
The Concert band went to contest for the very first time in the history of Tison and came back with a Superior rating on stage and a 2nd division in Sight-reading. Our Symphonic band performed a harder program this year, playing a piece off of the grade 2 list, and came back with a Sweepstakes trophy receiving a 1st division from all 6 judges, the Symphonic band has never performed this level of literature at UIL.
On Thursday, our Honors Band performed one of the hardest programs of the day, playing off of the grade 4 list and also came back with a Sweepstakes trophy and received 1st division from all 6 judges. This is also the first time in the history of Tison that the Honors band has attempted such a challenging program. All three bands raised the bar this year and made history for Tison and we will continue to do so. Awesome job, Band Students, we are extremely proud of you!!!

KANGA CARE CLINIC
PURPOSE
Kanga Care is a partnership between Weatherford ISD and Parker County Hospital District Outreach Program, to provide medical care onsite at each campus. Through the use of telemedicine and the Medpod Medical Cart, the healthcare needs of staff and students can be met in a convenient setting with each campus nurse. Kanga Care's purpose is to increase the educational success of students and staff by assuring access to healthcare. Early treatment can decrease the need for expensive medical care and unnecessary Emergency Room visits.
How to enroll in Kanga Care?
Fill out the Kanga Care Consent and either email it back to: kangacare@pchdtx.org or turn it in at any WISD school campus in the Kanga Care lock box.
