Creekfest Online Auction Grade Level Theme Basket Donation Information
Preparations are in full swing for Creekfest! Thanks to generous donations from our students, parents, teachers, and community partners, the Online Auction has been a great success for our school over the past several years.
Every grade level will have theme baskets featured in the auction. We are inviting each student to donate an item or items that correlate with their grade level theme. The Room Mom’s will collect the donated items and assemble the baskets for the auction. While your participation in this is not required, we greatly appreciate your help in making this year's Online Auction a success!
To help provide specific ideas for donations, and to avoid duplicate contributions, we have created signup genius links. Donations can be marked "Silent Auction" and sent to school with your child. There will be collection bins outside of each classroom from January 31st – February11th. You can arrange for large items to be picked up outside of school by contacting your room mom. Click here for Grade Level Basket Information & Donation Sign Up.
Please send in your donations by Friday, February 11th.
If you would like to donate a Silent Auction item/basket on behalf of your family or business, contact Peyton Gunnell at peyton.gunnell@gmail.com or 225.636.0008 for a donation form (which includes our tax id number for tax deductible donations). You may also contact Peyton if you would like to become more involved in the Silent Auction (contacting businesses for donations, picking up donations, wrapping baskets, or volunteering during the event). Creekfest is the biggest fundraiser for Creekside Forest Elementary School, providing essential funds to bridge the gap between our school budget and the programs and resources available to our students. It is our most fun, well-attended family event of the year, and it is scheduled for March 4, 2022. Thank you for helping make Creekfest a success for CFES!

Great Expectations
Throughout this school year and last, CFES staff and students have been implementing the Great Expectations Model on our campus. Great Expectations, GE, is a program providing life-transforming education. It has two main aspects, a Culture of Respect and a focus on Academic Excellence. Each morning we begin at 8:30 with a class leading our virtual Call to Greatness, where students are introduced to our 8 Expectations and Life Principles. Throughout the school day students and staff practice implementing these components. Ask your child about their favorite cheer or callback. Individual students are recognized with a “Pawsitive Note” by staff for demonstrating one of the 8 Expectations or a Life Principle. We continue to strive to implement the Culture of Respect and Academic Excellence set forth in the GE Model!
Life Principle of the Week: Loyalty- faithfulness to another
Being there for someone or something even when it’s tough
“Today you are YOU, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is your than you.” -Dr. Seuss
“It’s not about who is real in your face. It’s about who stays loyal behind your back.” -anonymous
Celebration: Hip Hip Hooray!
Call Back: Shine like…a diamond.
Expectation #5: We will help one another whenever possible.
