April 2021 NSE Mustang Message
Message from the Principal
Hope you all had a wonderful start to your April. We are quickly approaching the end of the year. Time flies when you are having fun!
We have had a year of many changes and curve balls. I know with your help, we can finish the year strong! We are going to make the best of each and every day of the last quarter to make sure your child makes as much gain in their knowledge as they can. We appreciate you making sure they stay healthy and attend school each day.
As cases of Covid go way down in our area and many teachers are vaccinated, we will look at doing some of our fun end of the year activities like Field Day and Water Day. Keep an eye out for more information going home in your child'd go-home folder.
Have a blessed April,

Easter Egg Hunts
We missed our hunts last year, but we made up for it. Not a single egg was left behind this year!
Second grade made bird houses made from recycled materials. There will soon be some happy birds in our community!
These students are using their knowledge and manipulatives to figure out thir math work.
Easter Egg Hunts
Thank you to GVEC for honoring us with the Power-Up grant! Our first graders are enjoying their new Chrome tablets.
Students are receiving additional help in reading with small group instruction using the program Amplify. The program targets the needs of the students and gives the teacher the appropriate lesson for that skill. SO far we are seeing great improvements.
Students are still making goals. When they meet their goal they get to ring the bell to let us know. We love to hear the cheers and the bells ring.
Click here for more information regarding STAAR. Also, check your child's results. STAAR scores should be available in the portal 2 weeks after your child takes the assessment.
RIF has many activities you can do at home to enhance your child's reading practice.
