A Bittersweet Transition...
To my Campbell Family,
Last Thursday, 3/18, the Fulton County School Board approved and made public the most recent promotions, transfers, and appointments. The board has confirmed that I will be leaving Campbell Elementary School to assume the position of Principal at Camp Creek Middle School on April 12, 2021.
Being promoted to serve another Fulton County School in our shared community, is an honor and privilege that I do not take for granted. But it does not change the fact that this is an extremely sad moment for me as I prepare to leave the students, staff, and community of Campbell. Parents and community members should prepare to engage with district leadership in a community meeting on Tuesday 3/30 @6:30pm to gather information on the process of securing a new principal for Campbell. Click here to join the meeting on Tuesday 3/30 at 6:30
I will save my goodbye's for later and keep this communication brief. Trust, that In the coming days, I will continue to put our students first "Making Campbell More than a School" while figuring out how to say farewell to the community I have so much love for.
With Love and Sincerity,
Principal McDaniel
Community Meeting to discuss Campbell's Search for a New Principal
A Message from Ronald Maxwell, Zone 3 Superintendent
Dear Campbell Elementary School Faculty, Staff and Parents,
Mrs. Leah McDaniel, the current principal of Campbell Elementary School will be transitioning to serve as the new principal of Camp Creek Middle School effective Monday, April 12, 2021. I am grateful for the leadership of Mrs. McDaniel while she served at Campbell Elementary School. I wish her well as she transitions to her new role.
Filling the position of principal at Campbell with the best candidate is a top priority. The first step in the process of finding the best principal candidate for Campbell is to build a unique profile. The purpose of the school profile is to outline the unique characteristics of the school and to highlight the most important leadership skills that your future principal will need to be successful. We will use the valuable information to select the most qualified candidates to proceed to the school-level interview. Candidates will be interviewed on the competencies identified as the most critical to meet the unique needs of your school.
To build a school profile and obtain stakeholder input, there will be a survey and multiple focus groups. The survey is standard across the district and was developed by the Fulton County Talent Division. A link to the survey is below, and will stay open through Monday, April 12, 2021.

Spring Testing Survey
The State of Georgia is moving forward with administering the Georgia Milestones to all students in grades 3-5.
Testing Dates:
April 27 – April 29 (ELA: Parts 1, 2, & 3)
May 4 – May 5 (Math: Parts 1 & 2)
May 6 (5th Grade Only – Science)
Please complete this survey below to help us prepare for spring testing.
Survey Hyperlink: Click Here if you DO NOT want your child to participate in Georgia Milestones
To fill out the survey, you must have your child’s Student I.D. Our goal is for ALL FCS students to respond to the survey, including those learning face-to-face and those learning remotely. Be mindful that your selection is final.
Points of clarity to consider:
· All tests will be taken face-to-face
· If your child is now remote, you must provide transportation and students must be picked up immediately after testing each day
· If your child is remote and you decide you do not want your child to test, your child will still have to participate in asynchronous learning (online learning without the teacher).
· If your child is a face-to-face student and you decide you do not want your child to test, your child will still have to come to school and participate in asynchronous learning (online learning without the teacher).
If you have questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. McDonald, the Assistant Principal.
