A word from the Principal
Thank you for being so accommodating and patient last week in the midst of this cold spell! This week is supposed to bring more reasonable temperatures and everyone is anxious to play outside! So snow boots, pants, mitts and tuques will still be needed.
As teachers are finishing their evaluation of your children's academic performance, attendance is important. If at all possible, try to plan appointments for the children in February.
A special thank you to all the volunteers who have braved the cold to come to school and read with our students! Thank you to our teachers for being such great sports in the midst of the modernization and of the cold spell. You are an amazing team! God Bless you all!
Have a blessed week and stay warm!

Accountability Pillar Survey - Alberta Education
Dear Elk Island Catholic School Families,
Alberta Education will be conducting the annual Accountability Pillar Survey in the new year. Parents of students in grade 4, 7 and 10 will receive a mailed survey from Alberta Education (if the school has fewer than 120 students, parents of students in grades 4-12 will receive the survey in the month of January)
As an annual check-up on the education system, the Accountability Pillar provides an opportunity for Alberta Education to ensure that we are equipping students for success.
