Season of Events
We have definitely hit that time of year - full of concerts, dinners, meetings, and more. Here at CMS we have a month full of events coming your way including the grade 6 spring concert, SEARCH Night, our first International Parent meeting, and much more. Be sure to check the "Important Dates" category below for information.
This past week we held our annual National Junior Honor Society Induction ceremony. We initiated close to 100 students this year. Each had met all five qualification to join the NJHS: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship. It was wonderful to see so many of our students qualify and choose to become a member. We offer this every year after first semester (an NJHS requirement for grade 6).
We also completed our Math MCAS this week and I am so proud of how hard our students worked and how well our teachers prepared them for this challenging test. Our students are so much more than a single test score and their hard work and resilience while completing two days of testing that can take over two hours demonstrates that to me every year! We have one more test to go for grade 8. The Science MCAS will be next Tuesday and Wednesday. Please remind your students to get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast, remember to relax and (as always) charge their Chromebooks!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and I wish all of our CMS mothers a very Happy Mother's Day!
