Principal's Message
Dear Alcova Families,
We are moving fast through April. I hope everyone had a safe and restful spring break. The students have returned ready to learn. We are gearing up for our Milestone assessments in grades 3-5 and EOY district assessments and screeners in all grade levels. This is an exciting time for our students to SHINE and show what they have learned.
Please save the dates for the upcoming Teacher appreciation week, May 8-12. This is an exciting time to recognize how much we appreciate the time and effort teachers put into making engaging learning experiences for all students at Alcova.
Kindergarten Registration has begun. All parents must complete registration online prior to visiting the school to complete the registration process. Parents are invited to bring their rising kindergarten students to school on Thursday, April 20th, from 9:00 am-12:00 pm or 4:00 pm-7:00 pm. They must complete the online registration prior to the in-person visit.

An Important Message from Alcova
Device Turn In
In preparation for end of year testing, we are asking that all Chromebooks stay at school beginning after spring break. Students will not be bringing their Chromebooks home. There are compatibility tests, as well as updates that have to run while they are at school. By keeping the Chromebooks in the building, we can ensure that they are prepared for testing.
STUDENT CHECK OUTS ALLOWED BEFORE 2:15pm.
Car Riders Reminder
For safety reasons and to expedite arrival and dismissal, please make a right turn only when exiting the parking lot. Also, be mindful of parents and students using the crosswalk. Pedestrians do have the right of way.

Emergency - "Day of" Transportation Change Requests
If you have a emergency transportation change request you must email 978.transportation@gcpsk12.org for the change to be processed. Please use this email only for "day of" emergency changes, where you were not able to send a note in with your student. Change request must be received no later than 1:30 pm to guarantee the change request will be processed.
Car Rider Info
Just a Reminder: The Car Rider Lane will close at 8:15 am. All students arriving after 8:15, must check in at the front office with the parent. Please do not drop your child off if the doors are closed.
