Principal's Message
Hello Santa Margarita Parents,
This past Monday marked the first day of Spring. Spring is a season for growth and development. I can see this in the trees that are starting to bloom around campus and in my conversations with students. This is the time of year that we see the result of all the hard work from Fall and Winter. We want our students to also be able to recognize how much they’ve grown since the beginning of the year, so let all take a moment to point out how much our kids have grown academically and socially in school. We are very proud of the growth they are making.

A Message from our School Based Resource Officer
- The state of California does NOT have an age restriction regarding leaving a child unattended; however, MCB Camp Pendleton does.
- No child or children under 12 years of age will be left unattended in a vehicle.
- Children under the age of 12 may not be left alone in any house. Children over 12 may be left alone in the house or may care for younger children, provided they are able to assume responsibility.
- All children, 6 years old or younger, must be directly supervised by a responsible person when playing outdoors.
- Children 10 years or older may walk to and from functions, schools, bus stops, etc.
With this being a base order, failure to abide by this would fall under UCMJ Article 92 – Failure to obey order or regulation.
