Monday, January 13, 2020
- Teacher Observation: Sopikiotis - Math Lesson Whole Group 8:55 a.m. Feedback ~ How can we get students to engage with the minilesson? How are you making them active vs. passive in the lesson? How do you know everyone is actively listening? Have students use the dry erase tables to answer the questions. Turn and talk.
- Teacher Observation: Lazaro ~ Math Lesson Whole Group 9:27 a.m. Feedback ~ Students are working on breaking down the problem using a brace map. With many DL students within the classroom, provide students with the flow chart and stems to support them. All students were copying the brace map from the board.
- Teacher Observation: Garcia ~ Assessment 10:00 a.m. Feedback ~Students were currently taking a reading assessment. Ms. Garcia was working with a couple of students to provide accommodations at her guided reading table.
- Teacher Observation: Luna ~ Math Small group and independent work 10:10 a.m. Feedback ~ Students are not at the same pace as room 101; however, T had students break apart the problem using the same strategy. T provided individual support to students as needed.
- Teacher Observation: Cortes ~ Small group and independent work Math. Students working on differentiated work and Dreambox. Teacher working with a small group. Ms. Cortes asked for feedback on the task for students who are progressing. Feedback suggested to ensure that the new NWEA data helps adjust where the student is at. Also to assign tasks on Dreambox.
- Teacher Observation: Rios ~ Math small group and independent work. Students are all working on the same Go Math task. Ms. Rios works with a group of students and provides them time to work on their own as she circulates the room. Feedback: It is obvious that students who need support are getting the small group support. How are you advancing students who do understand the concepts? Additional tasks aligned to the continuum is provided.
- BHT: Jessica Moy room 101 ~ Discussion with Jessica around divorce and met with Ms. Curry to provide services. Also informed Ms. Abraham regarding possible bullying situation with older brother Braydon (Room 305)
- Attendance: Student in Ms. Garcia's classroom. Called no answer. Child was seen in daycare according to students in class.
- LEAP Meeting with Connie and Mr. Gutierrez: Discussed next steps around coaching of teacher in LEAP Cohort 6 and Dreambox meeting that is occurring afterschool.
- Parent Communication: Henry Hawk News Sent out.
- Bullying Parent Meeting Nora and Emonie: Outcome~ No bullying found
- LEAP Henry Dreambox Meeting 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.: Marty, Dreambox Representative, provided how to use the data to inform instruction. Ms. Anaya, Ms. Ortiz, Ms. Cortes, and Ms. Prasko were in attendance. All teachers stated they use Dreambox as a station rotation model. Times: Anaya 10:30, Ortiz 9:45, Cortes 10:00, Prasko 1:45. Data Point: Anaya ~ standards, Ortiz ~ Lesson completion, Prasko ~ Lesson completion, Cortes ~ NWEA

- MTSS/BHT: Discussed Attendance protocol, MTSS/BHT Triangulation, Tier 3 to IEP evaluation for Emonie Black (3rd grade) and Joshua Miranda (1st grade).
- Summit Meeting with PL Department: Legal next steps
- BHT: SDQ Lilly C. (Kindergarten)
- Administration Meeting: Peer observations and GLM discussion
- ILT support: Peer Observation scheduling
- LSC: Prep and Principal Report Review
- Restorative Practices Meeting with Mary Cait and SEL Lead: Followup continuing the work that was previously started. Mary Cait will be at the school 2 days a week and will do a peace circle for 1 hour with staff on January 31st PD.
- Recess Duty
- Discipline: Roman M. pushed Crystal Gunther (7th Grade). Serve lunch detention on Wednesday January 15th.
- Teaching: Show Choir
- LSC: Attended 30 min of LSC Meeting

- Medical: Touched base with Nurse Murphy regarding Alan Suarez. Any student who uses their inhaler must call home to let parent know.
- GLM: 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades ~ Adjusted their scope and sequence for Math (5th grade Math and ELA), reviewed the LEAD 180 Toolkit, and began using the blueprint to identify the Learning/Instructional Targets.
- CSI: Coverage for Diana
- ILT: Organized Peer Observation schedule and attended ILT meeting.

- Sub coverage: Room 102
- Medical: Teacher Ms. Dorado
- GLM: PreK/K ~ Reviewed TRC data, provided research around reading levels from A-C, Identified students in Kindergarten who have not made progress on TRC. Also discussed Kindergarten Graduation with Mr. Gutierrez (Letter will be created by Kindergarten teachers to send home saying that there will not be a graduation.)
- Sub Coverage: Ms. Figuero Drama Class at 1:15 p.m.
- CSI: Coverage for Diana
- Summit Call: Coaching conference call ~ Next steps mentoring (Next meeting Feb. 6th)

- PAC Meeting: At next meeting on Feb 21st review ASPEN Access. Parents discussed the no Kindergarten Graduation.
- GLM: 2nd grade ~ Adjusted their scope and sequence for Math, reviewed the LEAD 180 Toolkit, and began using the blueprint to identify the Learning/Instructional Targets.
- Discipline: 1st Grade ~ Room 111 Adriana Diaz, Angel Catalan, and Leonel. Restorative Conversation and parents contacted.
- Discipline: Larry Williams (5th grade) refusal to go to classroom from 10:20-11:30. Discuss with Ms. Sanchez and informed teachers.
- Volunteer: Reviewed the Volunteer application and accepted Rocky Colon Level 2 (PreK parent) and Dama Avila Level 1 (3rd grade parent )
- IAR: Review with Patty next steps for IAR testing
- Uniforms: Emailed Select Screen Prints regarding opening store. Need to review with Ms. V. Ortega regarding the invoice.
- REACH: Identified 2nd Formals: February ~ Garcia, Kim March ~ McCabe, Leslie
- LEAD 180: Updated Tara on the LEAD 180 next steps
- Sub Coverage: Reviewed sub coverage for next week to determine peer observations. Peer observations will occur the week of January 27th.
