What is pneumonia?
Pneumonia is a lung inflammation caused by a bacterial or viral infection, in which the air sacs fill with pus and may become solid.
The Types of Pneumonia:
The three different types of pneumonia are viral, bacterial, and fungal. The most common type of pneumonia is streptococcus pneumonia which falls under the bacterial category. Bacterial community acquired pneumonia also know as CAP can be very dangerous in certain patients.
How it can be Treated:
Pneumonia can be treated with antibiotics, breathing treatments, and in certain cases oxygenation. The antibiotics one might take are macrolides, tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, cephalosporins, and penicillins.
Symptoms:
Pneumonia symptoms can very depending on the type you have, your age, and health. The most common symptoms are coughing, mucous, fever, chills, shortness of breath, and chest pain.
Transmission:
Pneumonia can be spread through breathing in droplets, that contain the bacteria that causes pneumonia

Prevention:
To prevent getting pneumonia you should get your pneumonia vaccine, and also get
your flu shot, because many people get pneumonia after having the flu. Other ways to prevent getting this disease is having good hygiene, not to smoke, and to stay away from sick people.
