What We Did This Week
Here are some of the skills we've been working with your child:
ELA: We've started our Letter of the Day this week, with the students being introduced to the Letters A-E. Our expectation is that your child will be able to name uppercase and lowercase letters as well as tell us a common sound for each letter. We've also continue to work on your child's name recognition and answering simple questions.
Math: We focused on the color red this week and the number 1. You can help your child at home by having them find some objects that are red, pointing out the color red where you can, and having your child count while doing household chores.
Writing: We've did our share of our objects and made a class book with our self-portraits.
Next Week we will be reading "Little Red Riding Hood," and focusing on the color red, the number 1, and the shape "circle." We'll be drawing some more circles and practicing our name recognition.
