Summer School!
Hello TEAM Families!
We are excited to announce our 2022 Summer School program! The extra instruction kids receive over the summer will help fill any gaps in learning, reinforce important skills, and better prepare them for the following school year. Bussing will be available at designated locations in Waseca. Once we know who would like bussing we will figure out the bus stops.
We will offer two sessions of Superhero Camp this summer. Any students may attend Session 1 and only students that are recommended to attend by their teacher(s) may attend Session 2.
Our theme is Superhero Camp! Each teacher will have fun activities that revolve around our theme for the students to participate in each day. We are even working on a few local field trips! Students will work on reading, math, and be provided with a morning snack every day.
We strongly urge you to take advantage of this opportunity. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher. You will receive more detailed information about bussing, teachers, etc. before the last day of school.

College Week is here!
At TEAM we want all of our students to have a goal of pursuing higher education when they graduate high school. To encourage our students to visualize this goal we celebrate College Week! Each day we will meet in the gym for a virtual college tour. Students will also write mission statements of what they want to be when they grow up. Dress up days for the week are:
Monday - TEAM T-shirt day
Tuesday - Hobby Day
Wednesday - College Day
Thursday - Career Day
Friday - Pajama Day
Field Trips!
Classroom field trips are coming up! Please make sure you are checking your child's folder daily.
Track & Field Day
Parents are welcome to watch track and field day on Wednesday, May 27 at the High School Track! K-3 will be there from 9:30-11 and 4-6 grade will be there from 12:30-2:00. If it is raining that day, we will do activities indoors at school and parents won't need to attend.
6th Grade Graduation
Our 6th grade Graduation will be on Thursday, May 26 at 9:00 AM in the gym. 6th grade family members are welcome to attend! We will have a short reception for the graduating class afterwards and time for pictures.
End of the year picnic
Parents are welcome to join us at Northeast Park on our last day of school. We will be eating lunch there at 11:00 and then playing at park the rest of the day (weather permitting). We will walk back to school at 2:30. Parents are welcome to bring their own lunch that day and eat with us! If it is raining we will just eat lunch at school and do a movie party that afternoon. Parents won't need to attend.
Yearbooks
Yearbooks are here! They are $15 each and you can pay by cash, check, or credit card. We have a limited number so they are available while supplies last!
Recess
We do go outside everyday as long as it is not raining. Please make sure your child has appropriate clothes for recess.
Extended Day
Our doors open at 7:40 AM. If you drop off before that and your child does not qualify for Extended Day, they will need to wait outside until the bell rings at 7:40 AM.
If your family uses our 4-5 PM extended day, your child needs to leave when you come to pick them up. You also need to pick them up as soon as you are done with work. This is a free service and if families are abusing the program we will need to discontinue it.
COVID Test Kits
We have home test kits available at TEAM. Let your child's teacher or the main office know if you need one. Testing regularly and staying home when you are sick will help us stay learning in person this year. Please monitor how your child is feeling and keep them home if they have any symptoms.
Join our TEAM Academy School Board
We are looking for a parent to join our TEAM Academy School Board. Our board is made up of teachers, a parent, and a community member. We meet once a month on the 3rd Wednesday at 4:15. Our meetings are usually only 30 minutes long. Current board members are Janel Schmidt, Chris Hering, Polly Christensen, Denise Gilbertson, Jenni Brittain, and Jed Kalbow. Contact Mrs. Courtney if you are interested in joining our school board - jcourtney@team.k12.mn.us
No Outside Breakfast Food or Drinks
No outside food is allowed for breakfast. If your child has a shake, Mc Donald's breakfast, etc. please have them eat/drink it before they enter the building. Students are only allowed to have water in the classroom.
Clean up your voicemailbox
Please make sure your voicemailbox is not full. There are times we need to get ahold of parents and are unable to leave a voicemail.
Lunch Money
If your child is bringing a cold lunch from home and they want a milk, they will need to bring $0.50. You can send more money and we can deposit in their lunch account.
