Cause: Attending movies, listening to the radio, and keeping up to date with latest fads were what caused mass media. The reason people could do this was because Americans in the 1920s had more money and more leisure time than they ever had before.
Characteristic:The first commercial radio station, the KDKA, started operating on November 2, 1920. Some major companies that ere established in the 1920s were : Warner Brothers, 20th century Fox, Universal, and Columbia.
Significance: mass media helped expand people's view of the world. It helped unify the Nation and spread new ideas over time.
