A Moment With Ms. Moe
Hello Wonderful Hornet Students and Families,
Happy Friday! First of all, I want to say thank you so much for your ongoing support of our program. We are constantly working to improve and make things more efficient as we move through year two of our program and appreciate your feedback and support. I will be sending out a feedback survey at the end of the quarter so I can make any necessary changes. We are so proud of our students and all that they have accomplished in just a short time. Our students are increasing their technology skills, building lifelong work habits, and managing their independent work time. Our goal at Elementary Connect is for our students to be FUTURE READY and each day in our virtual classroom provides another learning opportunity to accomplish just that.
As we have started to settle into the year, I would like to begin building up our Hornet Community. This will include; a Parent Teacher Organization, a Site Council, family events, activity nights, and more. If you are interested in being part of either the PTO or the Site Council, please fill in this form (if you have already filled in this form, I already have your information). I will be meeting with any interested participants of either group on Tuesday September 21 at 5:00 PM (virtually). Please sign up on the above form and I will send you the meeting details.
Finally, with 6 weeks officially in the books and lots of constant changes in our class rosters, in our schedules, and everywhere else, I would love to shower our teachers with some love. Maybe you and your student could send a little note or virtual card to your teacher to fill their buckets? As you know, we have the world's best teachers here at Elementary Connect and I want to make sure they are filled up with positivity and love.
I am here to help and support, so please do not hesitate to reach out at any time.
You have the ability to enter attendance as far as two weeks in the past. If you need to enter anything further back, OR need to make a correction to a date that you already submitted, please email our registrar, Deb Ellis. firstname.lastname@example.org
Detailed instructions are on our Elementary Connect website, under Tutorials.

Why do hornets buzz?
Because they can't whistle.
Who's Got Character? Hornets Do!
August's trait was perseverance. Perseverance is doing something despite how difficult it is or how many times you have failed.
September's trait is empathy. Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. (Oxford Languages)
