Family Remote Learning Update
Update #2 - 3/27/2020
Dear Families,
You just received a comprehensive letter from Mr. Feder regarding how your feedback has helped to shape our plans going forward. It’s a very helpful communication, so be sure to read it when you can!
At the elementary level, your survey feedback was taken into consideration to further hone our plan to have the best impact on students and families. We’re writing to outline a few adjustments as we move forward together:
Beginning the week of March 30th:
We will shift to a more differentiated instructional approach for our students. While we will continue to use the remote learning curriculum as our core content, teachers will begin some instruction that moves students forward as well. Each grade level will focus on one specific content area. Your child’s teacher will be reaching out with specifics about when these new content lessons will be delivered.
We have also streamlined the work on our website. Instead of working on each subject area each day, students will now work on an A/B day schedule, allowing for Reading and Writing lessons on A-days Math and Science/Social Studies lessons on B-days. The specialist activity lists and virtual specials sessions will continue on both A and B days to allow for greater access to the arts and non-core content experiences.
The ELEMENTARY A & B day schedule is outlined below. It is important to note that while students should complete their activity lists according to A and B days, teachers will be scheduling their sessions throughout the week in order to reach every child. This could result in a teacher teaching a math lesson on a day when a child is completing A-day work.
As always, your child’s teacher is here to help you! They will be in touch with specifics for your child’s class.
Sincerely,
The Elementary Principals

Worldwide support for Autism Awareness is shown by the “Light it up Blue” campaign in which famous buildings, iconic landmarks, bridges, and homes shine blue lights at night. Additionally, people wear blue clothing to show their support for Autism Awareness.
To show our support we will have a “Light It Up Blue” day. We are asking students and staff to wear blue on Thursday, April 2nd.
