#6 Covid-19 Notice
28 February 2022 - Positive Covid Case at Paparangi School
Dear Parents, Whānau and Caregivers
You may have heard there’s a confirmed COVID-19 case in our school. The health and wellbeing of our children, staff and community is our top priority.
What school is doing
We’re open for learning at school. Students who are isolating because they are a household contact of a positive case are able to access hybrid learning from home.
Schools no longer need to undertake contact tracing under Phase 3 of the Omicron response. As you know, our school has appropriate public health measures and cleaning procedures in place.
What families need to do
If your child is well, keep sending them to school.
Monitor for symptoms for the next 10 days.
If any symptoms develop, get tested immediately.
Then, stay at home until you receive the result.
Contact the school office to let us know your result - positive or negative.
If your whānau haven’t been vaccinated, please do so as soon as possible. You can book on-line at bookmyvaccine.nz or by calling 0800 28 29 26. It’s free.
If you have questions, you can contact the school at principal@paparangi.school.nz or office@paparangi.school.nz or call 04 478 6617.
