Greetings Dream Team-
Please, my teacher, open up your . . .
...heart to care ever more deeply for us;
...mind to think ever more creatively about ways of helping us learn;
...mouth to seek fresh ideas and feedback (including from us!); and
...classroom to join colleagues and parents in a thriving community where as teachers,
parents and children together we strive to reach our potential.
okay?

We are all in this together, and we are only as strong as you are? How will you have your neighbors back, or will you?

https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/uplifteducation
Check our social media pages for updates on our progress on September 20th! Thank you for your support.POWERSCHOOL
PowerSchool made several updates to PowerTeacher Pro with their summer release. These updates may affect the way you have traditionally setup Assignment grades. Teachers must be 100% consistent with Assignment Score Types for grades to calculate correctly. Every Assignment must either be Percent or Points, no mixing within a Class.
Percent Score Type: When using the Percent Score Type, the grade entered must be out of 100 possible points. The Percent Score Type will not properly score assignment grades that are not in the 0-100 grade scale.
Points Score Type: Assignments may be created with any number of possible points. Scores entered reflect points earned, not percent correct.
Note:
If a teacher has already entered grades and needs to make changes to their Score Types, we highly recommend they Recalculate Final Grades after the changes have been made. This will ensure the scholars’ final grades are being calculated correctly. Please click this link for instructions (new in version 12) – How to Recalculate Final GradesESL SUPPLEMENTAL
Many of you I know, but for those of you I have yet to meet I want to e-introduce myself. My name is Terrie and I am the K-12 ESL coordinator at Uplift Williams. I am also the network facilitator for the ESL Certification Preparation sessions. In short, if you have teachers who need ESL certification, I am the person to prepare them to be successful on the TExES 154 exam!
Attached you will find a flyer with the available preparation sessions and locations for the fall semester. These sessions are free to attend, and teachers only need to attend 1 session. I will be sending an e-mail to your ESL campus coordinator and you prior to each session with a list of your campus specific teachers registered to attend.
If you would like for me to reach out directly to express “excitement” to any of your teachers needing certification, please let your ESL campus coordinator know, or you may forward me the teacher information and I will be more than happy to make contact and answer any questions.

A MESSAGE FROM DEAN SMALLS
A Message from Special Education Coordinator Mrs. Jones
Special Populations
What’s an IEP?
The acronym IEP stands for Individualized Education Program. This is a written document that describes the educational program designed to meet a child’s individual needs. Every child who receives special education must have an IEP. The IEP has two general purposes: (1) to set learning goals for your child; and (2) to state the supports and services that the school district will provide for your child.
Filling out the blue sheet on a scholar is very important, you must list their strengths and weakness, that you have collected from observations, test, and data.
