The Paint-A-Plow Project was created by the Jackson Transportation Department as a way for area schools to advertise and celebrate their art programs. Once the students finish painting the plow, it will be driven around the area to advertise for the Columbia School District. It is a great opportunity for students to work together on a design!
PSAT-National Merit Qualifier Test
- PSAT will be provided to 9th grade students.
- PSAT-NMSQT will be provided to 10th and 11th grade students.
This assessment is great practice for the SAT and can qualify students for scholarship programs. The results can also help lead students to choose the right AP course to take. It tests knowledge of reading, writing, language, and math. The focus is on what students have already learned in school and what students need to succeed in college.

Congratulations to our Columbia Central National Honor Society Members, 2017-2018!
Chad P. Dermyer Memorial Soccer Field Dedication
We would like to personally invite our community to a very special event taking place on Saturday, October 7th at 1 PM. On this day, we will dedicate our soccer field in memory of Chad P. Dermyer, Columbia Central Alumni, who lost his life in the line of duty as a Virginia State Police Trooper. We are honored to name our soccer field after a heroic young man who will remain a role model in our community for years to come. There will be an alumni soccer game after the dedication. The Columbia Township Fire and Police Department, along with the Brooklyn Irish Hills Chamber of Commerce, will assist us with the event. Please plan to attend this special ceremony.
Please plan to attend Parent-Teacher Conferences!
- 7th and 8th grade student-led conferences will be held in the Columbia Central Library from 5-8 PM.
- All high school teachers will be available to speak with parents in their classrooms from 5-8 PM.
We will provide information about clubs, organizations, and other resources. This is a great opportunity to tour the building, meet our staff, and learn about Columbia Central Jr./Sr. High School.
Ms. Sacahr and her French 4 class enjoyed a wonderful trip to City Crepes in downtown Jackson on Saturday morning!
Please help to support the After Prom Event for Columbia Central High School!

Trunk or Treat
The Columbia School District is hosting a Trunk or Treat for the children of the community. Columbia area families will come together to enjoy this event.
Trunk or Treat is being held in the Columbia Central High School south parking lot on Sunday, October 29th from 3:30-5:30 PM.
School groups, businesses, and other organizations are invited to participate by hosting a trunk. There is no cost for sponsoring a trunk. We ask that you provide your own candy; we are estimating approximately 2,000 children. Set up for trunks will be available from 2:30-3:15 PM.
Please email Monika Cook at Monika.Cook@myeagles.org, or you may call 517-592-6641 if your organization would like to participate.
