Kindness Card Contest
Hi Christie Families! Plano ISD and The Plano ISD Education Foundation is seeking your talent to assist the district in designing artwork for the district's official 2023 Notecards published in November and utilized by district administrators and staff throughout the year.
Entries will be judged by our community members, the district art coordinator, and other district administrators. Contest finalists will be selected from each of the following contest groups, and the winning entry selected from the group of finalists:
- Group A: K - 2nd Grades
- Group B: 3rd – 5th Grades
- Group C: 6th – 8th Grades
- Group D: 9th – 12th Grades
Prizes will be awarded as follows: Finalists in each group will receive a $50 check, with the overall winner receiving a $100 check.
Finalists and the winner will receive a Plano ISD Education Foundation award at a school board meeting. The winning artwork will be published on official district notecards and will appear in Plano ISD publicity, including the school district website.
Kindness Card Art Contest Rules:
(Any departure from these rules will result in disqualification.)
- Only one entry per student.
- All art must be created SOLELY BY THE STUDENT.
- All artwork must be unique and original (no copyright images or artwork from the internet, etc.)
- Artwork must be completed on the back of this form using the template provided.
- Digital Artwork must be printed and attached to form.
- Contest is limited to Plano ISD students only.
Contest Procedures:
(Late entries will not be accepted)
- September 28, 2023 - Artwork must be delivered to your Art Teacher on your campus.
- September 29, 2023 - Art Teachers will submit a Campus Winner digitally via Google Classroom after a selection of 1st-2nd-3rd Place winners at the campus level.
All properly labeled entries will be returned to the student artist by Plano ISD via their ART teacher.
All entries must include the Kindness Card Entry Information and Parent Permission Form (see below).
- October 2-5, 2023 - District Finalists and Overall Winner will be announced

It is that time of the year already!
We are thrilled to get Christie Cubs Choir started again this year of 2023.
This club is only opened for 4th and 5th graders.
The purpose of the club is to showcase holiday songs at the Winter Holiday Concert, 12/14 Thursday 5:30-6:00PM.
PTA is also hosting pancake dinner, outdoor movie, Santa visit and picture, and a craft that evening!
This is a must event you don’t want to miss!

Hi Cubs!! We are excited to invite you to this years FALL FEST on Saturday, September 30th from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Get ready for BIG Inflatables, a GAME Truck, Carnival Games, Facepaint, Cake-walk and MORE FUN for our Cubs Community.
Our FALL FEST Silent Auction and Carnival will be one of the largest Fundraiser events we host this year, so let's come together to support our wonderful PTA that sponsors educational and instructional on-campus enrichment programs and after school clubs, assembly speakers, field trips for every child, field day activities, and additional support needed for our students, teachers, and staff. Parents can view copies of the school’s important documents, for example, CIP, report card, campus policy and campus compact in our school front office and on our school website.

School attendance is important because students are more likely to succeed in academics when they attend consistently. Attendance is both the school’s and family’s responsibility. Let your child know that you believe attending school is important. Show them you are interested in their school activities and you want them to do well in school.

5th Grade Camp Paper Work and Payment Are Due By November 17
The Insurance information/Medical waiver form is mandatory and needs to be notarized.
You can get forms notarized here at Christie, call the front office to schedule an appointment.
Payments by debit/credit card can be made through Rycor. You have the option to pay in full or installments.
Cash, check or money orders are accepted on campus.
In order for meal benefits to continue, a federal meal application for the 2023-24 school year must be completed.
· Students with no application on file after 30 operating days will return to full-paid eligibility status effective September 21, 2023.
· Households that have submitted a federal meal application for free or reduced-priced meals for the 2023-24 school year do not need to reapply.
· Households who wish to apply for free or reduced-priced meals will need to complete an online federal meal application for the current school year.
· Applications will be processed within 10 business days.
· Eligibility notification letters will be sent via email.

Selecting the organization that you wish to support is as simple as updating the Kroger Community Rewards selection on your digital account.
1. Sign in to your digital account.
2. Search for your organization here.
3. Enter the name or NPO number of the organization you wish to support.
4. Select the appropriate organization from the list and click “Save”.
Your selected organization will also display in the Kroger Community Rewards section of your account. If you need to review or revisit your organization, you can always do so under your Account details.
Any transactions moving forward using the Shopper’s Card number associated with your digital account will be applied to the program, at no added cost to you. Kroger donates annually to participating organizations based on your percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending associated with all participating Kroger Community Rewards organizations.
