How Will You End 2019?
Don't Count the Days....
15 Days
The work that we do is difficult, don't ever question that, but the payout is worth its weight in gold. We have created, thanks to all of your hard work and dedication, an environment of love, safety, and togetherness. Our students know that when they are with us, within our four walls, they are safe and taken care of. Unfortunately, if we truly want to take care of them this is not enough. We talked a lot at the beginning of the year about pushing our students past their current situations to help them reach and achieve goals and dreams they never felt possible. Do you still have that picture in your head? Education is the only thing that can save a student from poverty! You hold that key, don't ever forget that. By empowering your students, ALL of your students, and teaching them to be thinkers and problem solvers, you are giving them the ticket to build a better life for themselves and their families. Remember that these next 15 days, remember that as you plan your lessons. Make sure that you are making everything that you do rigorous, purposeful, and that it is going to help your students to grow.
I'm not a big fan of counting down the days to the next break, so as cheesy as it sounds, like it says above, don't count the days, make the days count!
