ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
New State Law Prohibits Phone Use in School Zones
Tennessee enacted a new law beginning in January that prohibits the use of cell phones by drivers in school zones. The new law states, "It is an offense to use a hand-held mobile telephone to make or receive a phone call while driving a motor vehicle in a marked school zone."
Save the Date: Rutherford County Hiring Event April 10th
The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Murfreesboro American Job Center will host a hiring event on April 10th at Blackman High School. We know that not all graduates have college plans, and those who attend college locally often work part time. This is a great way to bring those looking for a job into immediate contact with employers who are hiring. Employers will require a resume in order to proceed with an interview. Come dressed for success! Only seniors who have already registered for the event will be allowed to attend.
