We Miss You!
Remote Learning Plans
Our teachers have been working diligently on preparing lessons and providing a positive learning experience for students for the time students are away from the classroom. Remote learning is in place for all students beginning Thursday, March 19 through Friday, April 3. After Spring Break, students will return to school on Tuesday, April 14.
Preschool/PreK
Preschool/PreK classes have developed a plan to continue the school - home connection and offer activities through an online group. Parents should receive an invitation via email. This is a new venture for everyone, and we want to offer you support to accommodate your learners at home while keeping them engaged and motivated for an extended period of time. Your teachers are really enjoying getting this ready for you!
Kindergarten - Grade 8
Students and teachers will utilize the digital tools already established for e-Learning through Google Classroom. Grade 5-8 students have assigned devices that were taken home; K-4 parents have the option to check out a device for home use. The office is open from 9-1 this week if you need to check out a device.
Daily Learning Plan & Communication
Students will have daily classroom connections and regular communication with teachers via video recording or conferencing. The daily structure and schedule will not replicate the classroom schedule; only a few classes will be offered each day. Teachers are targeting instruction to address remaining grade level standards for this school year to be efficient and effective with everyone’s time and effort. Each family will receive the plan from their teachers today and begin instruction tomorrow (Thursday, March 19). Lessons will be posted daily by 8am.
Daily Devotions
Every school day will start with a devotion from one of your teachers. We know that through every unknown, God is our constant assurance. We pray that these devotions will bring your child and your family encouragement, connection and peace as we navigate an uncertain time.
Teacher Connection
Please keep in touch with teachers and contact the office if you need any other support. Contact teachers anytime during the regular school hours of 8-3 via email or message. They are glad to make an appointment with you outside of those hours at a mutually agreed upon time.
Spring Break
There will be no remote learning classes during our regularly scheduled spring break, April 6 through April 13.
Return to School
At this time, we plan to be back in school on Tuesday, April 14, God willing. We will stay in touch through any changes to that schedule. Our teachers will continue their daily work for you and your students to successfully complete this school year, no matter what!
God's blessings and our love to you all. You are all in our prayers!
