About Mrs. Partain
Just a little bit about me, I have lived in Henry County for fifty-one years. When I moved here, the stretch of 138 into Stockbridge was a beautiful peach orchard and the first building in Stockbridge City Limits was the Moseley Furniture Store. Ola was just a little blip on the map, and for us teenagers the dirt roads were an excellent place to practice our early driving skills. The cemetery at Butler's Bridge terrified us, the river was a favorite fishing spot, and the little chapel at Sharon was a beautiful landmark that we loved to pass by. That was a long, long time ago and those memories still bring a smile to my face.
Since we always loved the Ola area, my entire family moved here about seventeen years ago. It was the perfect place for my daughters to raise their children. I now have five grandchildren. The two oldest grandchildren had the opportunity to attend school at Rock Spring Elementary, Ola Middle, and are now at Ola High. My third grandchild will be in third grade at RSE this year, and the toddler and newborn still have several years to go. I truly love our community, and I am glad my grandchildren are growing up here. lt's a wonderful place to be!
I spend a good bit of time in the mountains caring for my Dad. I thoroughly enjoy my time with him, and the views are awesome! It is my happy place! The background to this newsletter is the view from his porch.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child over the course of this school year. Rock Spring Elementary is an amazing school, and we work closely together to create meaningful learning experiences for our students. Thank you for entrusting your most precious one into our care.
