When did the Gemini Program occur and what were it's missions?
The Gemini Program occurred during 1962-1966. Gemini missions flew inbetween the Mercury and Apollo programs. The Gemini Program helped prepare NASA for future moon landings. The Gemini Program's objectives were mainly: long flights, testing ability to maneuver spacecraft and connect with spacecraft, training of both flight and ground crews, conducting experiments in space, standup sessions and spacewalks, active control of reentry to achieve precise landing, and onboard orbital navigation. Gemini missions tended to last 5 hours to 14 days.
Why is Gemini Program important and what are it's goals?
The Gemini Program was used to learn what happens when people spend more time in space. Gemini Program needed to know how to connect with other spacecraft and how to support the astronauts. Because of the Gemini Program, NASA accomplished many obstacles.
