What is a UPC/Barcode scanner?
The UPC/Barcode scanner is a device that scans barcodes on items in stores and it locks the barcode into the computer from the laser inside the scanner which has a computer database inside of it which shows that the item has been purchased. The scanner keeps a log of each item that is checked out of a store or library.
How does this device work?
Barcode scanner is used to read computerize codes on a computer. Through the use of infer red light the barcodes are scanned into a digital database that identifies the merchandise for the customer and the employer.
