Cells (And what they do)

By: Anthony Grumblatt

How they are discovered

Robert Hooke was the first one in the world that discovered cells by using a microscope. But the Cell theory wasn't discovered until 200 years later (1830's). And there are three parts of the cell theory. 1: All living things are made out of cells. 2: All living things are made from 1 or more cells. And 3: Cells are made from pre-existing cells.

Prokaryotes cells

Prokaryotic cells is a single cell organism that can be affected by antibiotic's. They are the first cells to be made. Then they evolved to Eukaryotes which are multi-celled organism. Part of the name is German for before. In real life they are bacteria which makes sense why they are small.

A eukaryote is is any living thing cells contain a nucleus and other structures (organelles) enclosed within membranes. Eukaryote cells are found in a animal's or plant's. They are not affected by Antibiotics. Unlike the Prokaryotes the Eukaryotes are more advance considering they cannot be affected by Antibiotics

All the Organelle's

Golgi Apparatus

The Golgi Apparatus deliver's the liquid's and protein's like a friendly Mail man. But Without delivering the Proteins.

The Nucleus

Now we have the Nucleus (The Mayor) which tell all the organelle's what to do and hold's the DNA. It's like those Good overlord's not the bad one's, but the good one's that actually does something unlike Obama.

The endoplasmic reticulum

The endoplasmic reticulum is the Major factory's the one's that people care about most like with Toilet paper. They prepare the proteins, then it send's it to the Post office (Golgi Apparatus).

The chloroplast is the organelle that is in a plant cell that make's energy for the plant. SOLAR POWER ACTIVATE!

The Epic super Awesome Mitochondria

These small Amazing thing's is the most important thing in the body (My opinion). Because these small amazing things makes The ATP which give us energy determined by what we eat.

The Rimbosomes are like the small factories. They make what the leader (Nucleus) told you to do. There like slaves in a way if you think about it.

The cell wall

The cell wall is the wall that protect's the plant cell not a animal cell. So that's why a plant can't move that much.

The cytoplasm

The cytoplasm is like the jello that fill's up the packet thing it is in. It is what keep's all of the organelle's from leaving the cell.

The vacuole

The vacuole store's all of that Amazing, water like a water bottle but a lot smaller. Which is in a plant cell

The Lysosomes and the Peroxisomes

The Lysosomes and the Peroxisomes are the people that recycle's all of the waste. There like hippy's but they don't do the stupid stuff that hippy's do. But The Lysosomes are only found in animal cells.

The cell Membrane

The cell membrane determines what does in or out like those STUFF security guards at a airport, but like all security guards at airports they sometimes let some bad bacteria which messes the cell.

Plant cells

plant cell structure

How are Animal cells and Plant cells are different

Plant cells have chloroplast, a large central vacuole, and cell walls. While Animal cells are not capable of having it.

Animal cells have centrioles while Plant cells do not have these because they are not capable having it.

Cells and how all they are not all alike

Cells are not all exactly the same. It is determined by what type of living thing it is made in. But they all have two things in common. 1: They are all multicellular (made out of more than 1 cell). And 2: They all try to help the human body.
