Driving Question: How can we as structural engineers construct a two-story house for Tony Stark that will withstand seismic activity?
The earthquake PBL Project was a project where we (a group of 4-5 people) designed a house for Tony Stark. We also would pick the place he should live, and constructed the house that we designed for him. Using popsicle sticks, toothpicks, clay, straws, and string, we constructed a model of our house and also tested it to see if it would withstand an earthquake.
Atmosphere 30 Hands Project
The Atmosphere 30 Hands Project was one where we had to define climate change, global warming,and describe the effects of those two problems. Global warming and climate change also connect to our atmosphere unit.Below is the link to my Atmosphere 30 Hands Project.

What my partner and I made was an electric car that uses solar and wind energy to drive, which does not release exhaust. Exhaust is a cause of global warming, but this car reduces the amount of exhaust. I liked how we could make an invention/innovation that could be revolutionary and solve a enviromental problem.
The Multi-Powered Car
Our innovation solves the environmental problem of global warming. About one-third of air pollution in the US comes from on-road vehicles (auto.howstuffworks.com/air-pollution-from-cars.htm) . Air pollution can cause asthma attacks and make people sick (http://www.usclimatenetwork.org/resource-database/air-pollution-makes-kids-sick). This is bad for us, because this will cause more of our population to be sick as air pollution spreads.
How does your invention solve this problem?
Our innovation solves this problem because it uses renewable energy sources, the sun and wind. Instead of burning gas, our innovation uses the wind and the sun to generate electricity. The sun makes energy with the solar panel on top of the car, and the windmills turn when the car is moving against wind. This gives the car double the energy, and as a bonus, it does not make air pollution and runs on renewable energy sources. This innovation works first when the solar panel generates electricity. The solar panel takes the light energy, which is transported to the charge controller, which is then put into a battery that stores the energy until it's used. Then, when the car is driving, the windmills are turned by the wind passing through the grill. The windmills turn the turbine, which is connected to a generator that stores the energy. This generates the other source of energy for the car.
