TUITION ANNOUNCEMENT - 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR
Tuition for the 2023-2024 school year has been proposed by the Saint Vincent de Paul School Finance Committee, reviewed by the Saint Vincent de Paul School Advisory Board, and accepted and approved by the school administration.
For the 2023-2024 academic year, the tuition will increase approximately 5% in each category. This increase is aligned with the updated teacher placement scale set by the Archdiocese of San Francisco and necessary to remain competitive in retaining and attracting strong faculty and staff within the San Francisco Catholic school network and at Saint Vincent de Paul School.
Category D: $17,215.00 per student
Those who are neither Participating Parishioners nor a Participating School Family.
Category C: $15,190.00 per student
Those who are a Participating School Family but are not Participating Parishioners.
Category B: $14,465.00 per student
Those who are Participating Parishioners but are not a Participating School Family.
Category A: $12,270.00 per student
Those who are Participating Parishioners as well as a Participating School Family.
PARTICIPATING PARISHIONERS: A Catholic family registered in Saint Vincent de Paul Parish. Families must have demonstrated regular participation in the church through Mass attendance and giving. Giving can be done online or through your family envelope.
PARTICIPATING SCHOOL FAMILY: A family known over the previous year to the school administration as being active volunteers in Saint Vincent de Paul School as shown in their completion of the required service hours and their attendance at two of the four Parent Guild Meetings. Your category determination will be based on the hours entered as of March 31, 2023.
TIMELINE AND CATEGORY DETERMINATION
ENROLLMENT: If we have not received a Notice of Intent Not to Return form, your child has been enrolled for the 2023-2024 school year. At this time, you have paid one of the three deposit installments associated with enrollment. The other two deposits will be collected via FACTS on February 24 and March 24.
CATEGORY DETERMINATION: Your category will be determined based on the service hours posted to SchoolSpeak as well as the parish review of families registered at SVDP Church.
CONTRACT: On April 20, a digital contract will be emailed to the parent that holds your FACTS account. Your contract must be digitally signed and must be submitted by 3:30PM on May 4. Families not returning their contact by this deadline will forfeit their child’s inclusion on the school roster for the 2023-2024 school year. If a family opts to return their contract after the deadline, the family will be moved to Category D for the 2023-2024 school year.

Planning for the upcoming school year’s budget and potential tuition increases is a process we take very seriously. It is difficult to plan when we are unsure about existing families’ situations. The process we have followed for several years has failed to provide substantial information regarding returning families, which hinders us in budgeting for the coming year. As explained in the current Community Handbook, we will be using the continuous enrollment model.
