Daisy Troop 2209
December 2014 Update
Hi Troop 2209 Parents!
Highlights of this month's meeting:
- Our host was Marylou Bailey. She helped our girls learn songs for caroling at Horizon Bay. Thank you, Marylou!
- The Residents of Horizon Bay enjoyed our entertainment. See video below.
- Welcome to our newest troop member, Elena Rock!
- We sent home a Gorrie 125th Anniversary/Girl Scouts patch on the last day of school--please be on the lookout if you didn't have a backpack come home on that Friday.
Coming up:
- Cookie sales are coming up very, very soon! You will receive a permission slip on January 5th and our girls can start selling cookies.
- Ice Skating--we're trying for January
- The annual Sweetheart Dance is on Sunday, February 8th. Dads, Uncles, Grandpas and/or other Relatives and Caretakers bring their Daisy to this fun dance.
- Daisy Day: Saturday, February 28, 2015--Princess theme at Camp Dorothy Thomas, Riverview FL.
Our next meeting is Tuesday, January 13th, right after school. Kara Rock (mom of Elena, our newest troop member) is our Troop Cookie Chair and will share information with our girls at this meeting.

The Girl Scout Promise and Law
The Girl Scout Promise
On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
The Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong, and
responsible for what I say and do,
and to
respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place, and
be a sister to every Girl Scout.
